Sections & Passages tab overview

If you work offline in a team project, some of the buttons and commands described in this overview do not appear.

If you work alone in an offline project, none of the buttons and commands related to publishing are available.

Your role or permissions can determine what you can see and do in this tab.

Here are buttons that can appear in the table or in commands available in the buttons described above:

		Open the Work view to the first step that is not complete for that passage. The number of discussions assigned to you appears in the number in the colored circle.
Avatar	-	Shows the avatars of the assigned person
	Versions	Open the Versions dialog box
	Note Details	Open the Note Details dialog box
	Play/Pause	Play audio
	Record Audio	Record Title column contents.
	Play Audio	Play a recording in the Title column.
or	Add Section	Use to add a section
or	Add Passage	Use to add passage (hierarchical layouts only)

	Assign	Use the Assign Sections dialog box
	Upload Audio	Use the Upload Audio dialog box

This tab has a table that is like a spreadsheet. The intersections of columns and rows make cells. See: Edit section or passage information.

An invalid reference warning can appear of your project has references that will not be able to synchronize with Paratext.

The Assigned column does not appear in Work Alone ( Work Offline or Work Online) projects (see: Getting Started page) or in personal projects ().

Versions: The button you see depends on whether Shared Resources is selected in this project's settings.
Your workflow can be affected by your selection of Hierarchical or Flat.
Section is the default term. When the project was created or edited, the project Admin had the option to select or add a different term. So, you may see Sets, Stories, Scenes, or Pericopes or another term. Other related buttons, column headers and labels also change to match the term.
If the audio project was created online, but you opened it from an avatar below Work Offline on the Connection Mode page, you cannot do these procedures:
- Add a section or passage, paste a spreadsheet, or resequence section and passages.
- Upload audio, record/edit audio, or assign or delete a section.
