In projects that are set to have a Hierarchical layout, a passage is a portion of a written work, such as Luke 1:1-4 or a portion of a narrative.
Here is what you see in Audio Project Manager in a browser and Desktop:
Passage is the name of one of the columns in the Sections & Passages tab.
Each passage row has a number in the Passage column.
You can move rows up or down with controls in the Extras column.
Passage is the name of a column when you filter them.
In the Integrations dialog box, you see Passages ready to sync.
In the Sections & Passages tab, each passage has a button that opens that passage in the Work view.
You can use the Add Team dialog box or use the Team Settings dialog box to select () the desired workflow progression, either Next Passage or Next Step.
This only affects projects with a Hierarchical layout.
You might want to get help from the community of users as you consider passage lengths.
Consider these factors:
Your workflow might include these types of recordings: vernacular, Back Translation, Retelling or Question and Answer.
The length of your passages can affect community checking, retelling and so on.
So, consider what passage length will give the best results.
Audio Project Manager cannot merge passages that you are continuing to work on.
Therefore, you might want to have fewer longer passages, rather than many shorter passages.
You might want to make one passage for an entire section in some cases, while for other sections you could have many passages.
