Your role determines what you can do.
Team roles are Admin or Member.
They can also transcribe passages and review transcriptions.
By default a person who is added as an offline member has the team role of Member.
To change the team role of a member, see: Edit the profile of a member.
Members can only do the things they have permission to do:
Members who have have Can Edit Spreadsheet permission, then they are similar to the role of Admin, but cannot upload or record content in the vernacular language, or mark anything as ready to share.
Members who have have Can Publish permission, then they can only add or remove publishing rows. They can edit and record titles, and upload graphic. They cannot upload or record content in the vernacular language, or mark anything as ready to share.
Transcribers () primarily transcribe passages. In addition, they transcribe back translation, retelling or question and answer audio files.
Beyond these assignments, what members can do is determined by the Admin. See: The Advanced tab in the Configure Audio Project Settings dialog box.
When you record audio, you must include the name of the person who talks in a field labeled Speaker.
The speaker will probably not be one of the people with Admin or Member roles. In this case, the speaker will not have an avatar or a profile. However, you need to upload or record a statement releasing the rights to publish material recorded by this person. The list of speakers is saved on a by-team basis, so each team will have its own list of speakers.
You could have any number of speakers. For example, you might make vernacular recordings and back translations using different speakers, or receive existing audio recordings of other speakers for various sections or passages.
Setup procedures overview separates procedures by role.
Typically, members do topics in General procedures overview.
Getting Started page describes why you can choose to be a team of one person, which is different than working alone.
Role: appears when you click your avatar on the Top App Bar when you have an audio project open.
You do not see this when the home page is displayed, because you may have a different role in the various audio projects.
