Configure, Remove or Delete Permission Schemes

People with the role of Admin work with permission schemes or assignment schemes. See: Team Settings dialog box

Configure Permissions for sections

  1. Go to the Assignments tab.

  1. Select (PIC) sections (rows) that you want to assign with a scheme.

  2. Click Configure Permissions  and then click Add Permission Scheme or click an existing permissions scheme.

The Configure Permission Scheme dialog box appears.

  1. If you added a new permission scheme, type a unique name for this permission scheme.

If you are changing assignments in an existing permission scheme, you might want to edit the name.

  1. For each workflow step, click the down arrow () and then click a peer group, or an individual member. Alternatively, if anyone can do the step, select No Restriction.

If you will sync the project with Paratext, see: Integration (Sync) and My Account overview.

  1.  Click Save.

In the Sections & Passages tab, the Assigned column will show the permission scheme used, and also the avatar or initials of the person or peer group.

Remove a Permission Scheme from sections

  1. Go to the Assignments tab.

  2. Select (PIC) sections (rows) from which you will remove a scheme.

  3. Click Remove Permissions.

The Confirmation dialog box appears and informs you how many sections will no longer have the permission scheme.

  1. Click Yes, if you are sure you want to remove it.

Delete a Permissions Scheme

  1. Go to the Assignments tab.

  2. Click Configure Permissions  and then click the scheme you want to delete.

  3. At the bottom of the Configure Permission Scheme dialog box, click Delete.

  4. In the Confirm Delete, click Yes if you are sure you want to delete the scheme.

Tip

For example, if a member does not have permission to record audio, that member can typically open the Versions dialog box, load and play the latest audio. However, that member cannot record or upload an audio recording, or select Step Complete for that step.
