A transcriber or editor can reject an audio file, or there may be other reasons why a passage might need an updated audio file.
If you do it with one of these steps, the older audio file will be kept and the version number will reflect the updated audio file.
If you have an existing audio file that you want to use:
If you will record the new audio file in Audio Project Manager:
If you will edit the existing audio file in Audio Project Manager:
On the Sections & Passages tab, click 
(Record/Edit audio) and load the existing file so you can edit it.
You do not need to delete or disassociate the rejected or unwanted audio file from the passage.
Use the Audacity Manger dialog box, if you use Audacity.
