The segmentation toolbar is above the audio waveform. It has controls and keyboard shortcuts that you use when you work with segments. Segments work with the loop feature.
If you will not use the segmenter, manually add the segment boundaries:
Choose the passage or step (e.g. Phrase Back Translate) that allows you to add segments.
Play () the audio file:
Each time the playback indicator is at a place in the waveform where you want a segment boundary, click (Add/Remove Boundary) or use a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Down Arrow or double-click your left mouse button).
Click Save Segments to save them.
You can manually adjust the segment boundaries in any of these ways:
Click and drag a segment boundary to move it.
Click a boundary you do not want and then click (Add/Remove Boundary) or use a keyboard shortcut.
Click a segment (between two boundaries) and then click (Remove Next Boundary) or press Ctrl+Alt+X.
After segment boundaries have been added you can click (Clear Segments) to remove all the current segment boundaries. Then, you can add them again manually or use the auto segment feature.
Phrase back translation segments are saved separately from other segments, such as those you added for transcription.
