Paratext and related tools are a collection of software programs developed jointly by the United Bible Societies and SIL International. They allow you to input, edit, check, and then publish a translation of the Scriptures (adapted from https://paratext.org/about).
Transcriptions of passages that have been reviewed can be uploaded from Audio Project Manager or Desktop to Paratext (integration). In Paratext, basic and advanced checks are completed towards a publishable translation. The results of these checks can indicate needed improvements to audio recordings made in Render.
Here is a high-level overview of a possible workflow:
Transcribe the audio.
Push the transcription to Paratext
Edit the transcription in Paratext for improve translation (for example with key terms checks or parallel passage review, etc.).
Record a new version of the audio file that includes the improvement made in Paratext.
Instead of transcribing that new audio file, you can pull the transcription back to into Audio Project Manager as a draft for the transcription of the new version of the audio.
If you have notes in Paratext, you could add an audio project just for those notes.
People who have the role of Observer in Paratext cannot integrate transcriptions from Audio Project Manager.
If your Paratext token expired, a message appears and informs you.
You need to log out of Paratext and log in again before you can complete your synchronization.
