Here are two ways to open this dialog box:
In the Team Settings dialog box, and in some situations the Personal Settings dialog box, click the cogged gear () for the experimental feature called Auto TranscriptionAI.
In a Work step that uses the Transcribe tool, click (Auto Transcription using <language>AI), and then click Convert Voice Settings.
Use this dialog box to choose the language that the AI service will recognize and use its writing system for the transcription.
Click the Language box.
A version of the Choose Language Details dialog box appears.
Use the Choose Language Details dialog box to find the language you need or a closely related language that has a similar writing system.
Click Save.
If the language you chose does not use a Latin script, you can select () Transliterate to Latin script.
If word breaks are problematic, select () Phonetic.
Be aware that Phonetic does not produce a phonetic transcription. It does use a phonetic script and the language you chose will be used to suggest word breaks. You might want to get more help.
Transliterate to Latin script is ignored if you also select Phonetic.
Do one of these steps:
If you opened this dialog box from the Team Settings dialog box, click Begin Auto Transcription to save the changes and close the dialog box.
Otherwise, click Cancel or X to close the dialog box without saving the changes.
If you opened this dialog box from a Work step, click Begin Auto Transcription to save the changes and start the AI service.
Otherwise, click Cancel or X to close the dialog box without saving the changes and not start the AI service.
The Auto Transcription in Progress dialog box appears with a progress indicator.
In this case, the Choose Language Details dialog box does not list all the languages. Here is a list of languages that the AI service can use:
