In a Discussion, you can type comments (statements or questions) or record them. Then others can play the comment.
You need a microphone to record.
You need speakers or a headset to listen to your audio.
If you will use experimental features, you need an Internet connection. If you use Desktop, you must be online.

to expand the discussion if it is collapsed.
Click
(Record Comment) to display the recording controls.
Click
(Select microphone) and then click the microphone you want to use, if necessary.
Click
(Record) or a keyboard shortcut and then speak your comment.
Clicked
(Pause), to stop the recording.
Click
(Play) or press a keyboard shortcut to listen to your recording for quality and usability.
If these experimental features are selected in the Team Settings dialog box, or the Personal Settings dialog box, do any of these steps:
Click
(Reduce NoiseAI) to use this feature to reduce noise from the entire audio recording, or from a selected portion of the audio recording.
Click
(Convert Voice speakerAI) to use this experimental feature.
Click
(Normalize) to normalize the volume level of the entire audio recording, or of a selected portion of the audio recording.
Do any of these steps if necessary:
Select a portion of the audio waveform that you do not want to keep, and then click
(Delete Region).
Click
(Undo) to undo the deletion.
Click
(Delete Entire Recording) if you want to start over.
When you are satisfied with the recording, click
(Save). Otherwise, click
(Cancel).
Each recorded comment appears as a
(Play) button. The name of the person who recorded it and date or time information appear with it.
Recorded comments are compressed *.ogg files.
(Convert Voice <speaker>AI) is available before you save a new audio recording.
In this case, the recorded Provide Rights voice sample must be already available. You can choose a name, but not record a new sample at this time.
